Article spinning (otherwise known as article cloning) is the method of taking an existing article and changing the words, and other values, to create an entirely "new" article. And "new" does not mean an entirely different article that has new ideas. To put it simply, article spinning is really done by taking the words in the original article and using synonyms to change the content to create a clone article. Article spinning is increasingly becoming popular among SEO firms to avoid having the original article being marked as a "duplicate copy" among the search engines. 

How is Article Spinning Done?

There are essentially two ways to accomplish an article clone: either by article spinning software or hiring a professional copywriter. While there are countless article spinning software sites that provide free spinning, this isn't the way to go. Remember: you get what you pay for. If you need a quality article that requires spinning, it would be good practice to hire a writer who has experience in SEO article spinning. 

Is it Ethical?

At this writing, Google and the other major search engines have not expressed an opinion on this method. However, many experts believe that this is the wrong road to take for an effective SEO campaign.
